01Single orders
- You can cancel a single order for a full refund anytime before our kitchen starts preparing it (typically within 5 minutes of placing the order).
- Once preparation has begun, the order cannot be cancelled — but if there is a quality or delivery issue, we will refund or replace it (see §3 below).
02Subscriptions
- You can pause a weekly or monthly subscription from your dashboard for up to 14 consecutive days at no cost.
- You can cancel an active subscription at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; deliveries already paid for in the current cycle continue.
- Unused days in a paused subscription are credited to your account and applied automatically to the next delivery.
03Quality and delivery issues
If a meal arrives cold, spilled, mis-prepared or with a missing item, contact us within 4 hours of delivery and we will:
- Replace the meal with a fresh one, or
- Refund the value of the affected meal to your original payment method, or
- Apply a credit of equal value to your Origin Plate account, whichever you prefer.
Sharing a photo of the issue helps us investigate quickly with the kitchen and delivery team.
04Event and corporate orders
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before delivery: 100% refund.
- Cancellations between 48 and 24 hours: 50% refund.
- Cancellations within 24 hours of delivery: no refund, since procurement and prep have already started. We may offer a partial credit at our discretion.
- For ongoing corporate contracts, refunds and adjustments are governed by the signed agreement.
05Refund timelines
Approved refunds are initiated within 2 business days and typically reach your account within:
- UPI: 1–2 business days
- Credit / debit card: 5–7 business days
- Net banking: 3–5 business days
- Origin Plate wallet credit: instantly
Timelines beyond our control (bank holidays, processor delays) may occasionally push these out by 1–2 days.
06What is not refundable
- Orders that have already been delivered and accepted without a quality complaint within the 4-hour window.
- Custom event catering trays already in production within the 24-hour window.
- Delivery fees on orders that were delivered correctly, even if cancelled afterwards.

The fastest route is your dashboard — open the affected order and tap Report an issue. You can also email support@originplate.in or reach us on WhatsApp from the footer of any page.
