Privacy Policy

When you create an account, place an order or subscribe to a plan, we collect information that is needed to deliver the service to you. This includes:

• Account information — name, email, phone number and password (stored as a one-way hash).
• Delivery details — addresses, geo coordinates and delivery instructions you choose to share.
• Order history — meals ordered, subscriptions, preferences and feedback.
• Payment metadata — transaction IDs and status. We do not store full card numbers; payments are processed by Razorpay.
• Device and usage data — browser type, device, IP address and pages you visited on our site, collected for security and product analytics.

• To prepare and deliver your meals, confirm orders and process payments.
• To send you transactional updates (order confirmations, delivery alerts, receipts).
• To support, troubleshoot and improve the service.
• To send you marketing communications you have opted into — you can unsubscribe at any time.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
• To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.

We only share your information with trusted partners who help us run the service:

• Payment processors (Razorpay) to charge for orders.
• Delivery partners to fulfil your order at the right address.
• Email and SMS providers to send transactional alerts.
• Cloud infrastructure providers that host our application and database.

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.

We retain your account and order history for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with tax and accounting obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@originplate.in.

We use essential cookies (for authentication, cart and security) and optional analytics cookies. Essential cookies are required for the service to work; you can disable optional analytics in your browser settings.

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to fix data that is inaccurate or out of date.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your account and associated personal data.
• Withdraw consent — opt out of marketing communications at any time.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data — TLS in transit, hashed passwords, restricted database access and routine security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with the seriousness it deserves.

Origin Plate is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or via a banner on the site at least 7 days before they take effect.
